Our goal is to connect these young adults with professionals from various fields to guide them in making informed decisions about their future. Whether students are interested in pursuing a four-year degree, exploring vocational and trade programs, or jumping straight into the workforce, GenBridge helps them discover all the opportunities available to them.
We believe in the power of mentorship, real-world experience, and a broad view of career possibilities. By creating connections with professionals from many different industries, GenBridge ensures that every student has the resources they need to take their next steps with confidence, whether they are entering college, pursuing a trade, or starting their career journey right after graduation.
Ryan Kung is a student leader, nonprofit founder, and community advocate committed to empowering the next generation through mentorship, education, and real-world skill development. He is currently a senior at Carlmont High School in Belmont, California, where he combines academic excellence with meaningful civic and nonprofit engagement.
Ryan is the founder of Gen-Bridge Alliance, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging generational gaps and helping young adults explore career pathways through mentorship and hands-on workshops. As the organization’s sole founder, Ryan built the nonprofit from the ground up—recruiting and training more than 40 mentors, forming community partnerships, and reaching over 100 student participants.
In addition to his nonprofit work, Ryan serves his community as an IRS-certified tax preparer through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. He has personally assisted more than 75 families who otherwise lacked access to professional tax services, applying advanced knowledge of IRS tax codes and deductions to help families maximize refunds and reduce financial burden. His efforts have contributed to hundreds of thousands of dollars in collective taxpayer savings for underserved households.
Ryan is also deeply engaged in youth advocacy and educational leadership. As Student Chair and Co-Chair of the Sequoia Union High School District Student Advisory Council, he represented over 10,000 students and worked closely with district leadership to elevate student voice in academic and policy discussions.
His broader service experience includes international education initiatives, where he helped raise funds and collect books to support the creation of a library in Malawi, as well as operational support roles in environmentally focused businesses that strengthened his skills in outreach, organization, and community engagement.
Ryan believes strongly in using education, mentorship, and service as tools for long-term social impact. Through his leadership, he aims to create accessible pathways for young people to gain confidence, professional skills, and opportunities to succeed.
